Skin Rejuvenation

Intense Pulsed Light Treatment (IPL) Fotofacial RF™

IPL FotoFacial RF™ treatments are gentle, safe, non-invasive procedures used to erase the signs of aging from the face, neck, chest and hands using Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and Radio Frequency (RF) energy combined in the same pulse. IPL FotoFacial RF™ can be combined with another treatment called Refirme™ Wrinkle Reduction, a skin tightening laser, to produce optimal results.

IPL-fotofacial-before-and-after

An IPL treatment program typically includes five sessions of about 25 to 30 minutes each, performed at three to four week intervals for progressive improvement of skin tone. You may return to normal activities immediately after treatment. Minimal redness and mild swelling may be seen in treated area for the first 12 hours.

IPL treatments can address:

  • Coarse or rough skin/loss of skin tone and elasticity
  • Red blemishes/melasma/rosacea
  • Mottled coloration
  • Broken capillaries in face
  • Pigment discoloration (freckles, age spots, pore size)
  • General sun damage

Sublative™ RF Rejuvenation

Sublative Rejuvenation is a non-laser and non-light-based treatment that utilizes “fractional photothermolysis,” a technology in which thousands of microscopic energy columns treat a fraction of the skin at a time without affecting the surrounding tissue. RF sublation — fractionated bipolar radio frequency technology — is used in Sublative Rejuvenation to place heat energy effectively into the dermis, where it can produce significant dermal (deeper skin) impact with minimal epidermal (superficial skin) disruption. Sublative Rejuvenation keeps the majority of the top layer of the skin intact, delivering bulk dermal heating beneath the skin to maximize collagen production.

Sublative RF treatment resurfaces your skin by replacing damaged tissue with younger, tighter, smoother, healthier skin. Benefits include:

  • Smoother, fresher, younger-looking looking skin with improved tone and texture
  • Erasing of unwanted brown spots
  • Reduced fine lines and wrinkles
  • Improved appearance of acne scars and surgical scars

Treatments

A minimum of three treatments every four to six weeks is typically recommended for optimum results. Results are immediate and progressive, with optimal improvement usually visible in six to 12 months. Maintenance treatments are recommended yearly to maintain and further enhance results. Swelling and redness are the most common side effects. Other temporary side effects may include minor itching, dry skin, peeling or flaking, and a bronzed-skin appearance. Your physician will provide instructions about what to expect and how to minimize any side effects.

Fraxel® Laser Treatment

Fraxel is the pioneer of “fractional photothermolysis,” a technology in which thousands of microscopic laser columns — each just 1/10 the diameter of a hair follicle — treat a fraction of the skin at a time, penetrating deep into your skin to expedite your body’s remodeling of collagen without affecting the surrounding tissue.

Fraxel treatment resurfaces your skin by replacing damaged tissue with younger, smoother, healthier skin. Benefits include:

  • Smoother, fresher, younger-looking looking skin with improved tone and texture
  • Erasing of unwanted brown spots
  • Reduced fine lines and wrinkles
  • Improved appearance of acne scars and surgical scars

Treatments

On average, an effective treatment regimen is three to five sessions spaced about three to four weeks apart. Results are immediate and progressive, with optimal improvement usually visible in two to three months. This time frame and treatment structure allow for complete healing and the production of new collagen and elastin to replace damaged tissue.

Temporary swelling and redness are the most common side effects from Fraxel treatment. Other temporary side effects may include minor itching, dry skin, peeling or flaking, and a bronzed skin appearance.
